BTS’s new Japanese song “Your Eyes Tell” is dominating music charts across the globe!
On July 15, BTS dropped their fourth Japanese studio album “Map of the Soul: 7 ~The Journey~,” which features two original Japanese songs in addition to Japanese versions of many of their Korean hits. (BTS released the first original song, “Stay Gold,” ahead of the full album last month.)
Not only has the album since gone on to top Oricon’s daily albums chart for three days in a row, but its second original song—”Your Eyes Tell,” a track that was co-composed by Jungkook—also swept the Japanese charts immediately upon its release. In addition to debuting at No. 1 on Oricon’s digital single sales chart, “Your Eyes Tell” topped multiple Japanese daily music charts, including Line Music, mora, and Recochoku.
“Your Eyes Tell” has also soared to No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 95 different regions—their highest number to date for a Japanese song—all over the world, including Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, South Africa, and more.
Congratulations to BTS!
